Distinguished keynote speakers at IFWF2 included the Honorable Maria Mutagambwa MP, the Ugandan Minister for Water, and the Honorable Mary Mugyenyi, Representative of Uganda in the African Union Parliament.
The CPWF was keen to disseminate its research findings at IFWF2 in the most relevant manner to both regional policy makers and international development agencies; the Volta Basin Authority, NEPAD and DFID are some of those that will be represented. Selected senior government and non-government representatives from Ethiopia, India, South Africa, Ghana and the Andean Region were also invited.
The Challenge Program on Water and Food (CPWF) contributes to the global community with research that addresses climate change and water scarcity. Our research aims to produce more food with less water for communities and governments of nine 'benchmark' river basins around the world-including the Nile, Volta and Limpopo-in order to leave more water for other users and the environment.
The CPWF is a multi-institutional research initiative, comprising of 18 core partners and over 200 project-level partner bodies worldwide. NWRC  |  SEI  |  WorldFish  |  JIRCAS  |  AREO  |  CSIRO  |  IWMI  |  ARC  |  IRD  |  CARE  |  IRRI  |
